Reformation does it again. I’m holding onto summer as long as possible and this linen dress is exactly the piece to make that happen. I got this Lily Dress online not knowing what to expect. Was it going to be too baggy? Unflattering? Make me look like a sack of potatoes? Well, a little bit of yes to all. I’ll elaborate, but first, let’s understand the stats behind this beautiful number:
This linen dress released 21 pounds of carbon dioxide, compared to the industry standard of 36 pounds. 497 gallons of water were used, compared to a whopping industry standard of 2194 gallons of water! And finally, the Lilly dress created 2 pounds of waste compared to the industry standard of 4.2 pounds. Not too shabby!
Next let me get into how it fits and feels…
I ordered this linen dress in a size Medium. I’m 5 ’10” and typically get most of my dresses in a Medium. Unfortunately, when I tried it on, it was incredibly big. If you look at how the dress fits the model on their website you’ll notice that my dress fits me similarly. Well, I needed to get some tailoring done to bring it in a little. Unfortunately, I purchased this dress during a sale where I was unable to return or exchange and I had my heart set on wearing this beauty for a while so decided to take it to my local tailor. I think she did a fabulous job getting it to fit me the way I wanted and the way Reformation advertises on their site.
Sideboob and all.

I’m 100% planning on layering this dress under some comfy jumpers as we transition into Autumn. The linen material is perfectly lightweight for summer but also has a durability to it that makes it feel perfect for those transitional days. Also, the fact that I got this dress so late into summer has me wanting to squeeze as many uses out of it as possible before the weather gets too chilly!

Reformation, you have won my heart. The new Reformation X Patagonia collaboration that was just announced last week will have my wallet hurting from the Autumnal purchases.
