Monthly Playlist – September

September 1, 2017

This monthly playlist is dedicated to summer. Yes, it’s September and I have been seeing far too many posts lately about summer coming to an end. In LA, however, we’ve got a massive heatwave hitting us this weekend making me extra keen to hit the beach on Saturday! This summer has been filled with lots of wonderful events for me: my Bachelorette Party that took place in July, our Couple’s Shower (the same weekend), and lots of special visitors from across the globe.

In general, I’ve been in a positive mood most of the summer (save the awful natural disasters and anything Trump related – don’t worry, I won’t bring politics up on here again) so I figured I’d share the songs that kept me going. I pulled a few inspirations from my Bachelorette playlist (I’ll let you figure out which songs came from there – ha!), new discoveries, and anything that just lifted my spirits.

P.S.

Popping in an extra song that’s not on Spotify, only on YouTube (it’s a BBC Live Lounge song). Jack Garratt is definitely my new favourite artist that I discovered in August (no idea how it took me so long to hear about him). Most of my Brits will appreciate this and even some Americans will be surprised that they know this song. Jack does a mash-up of Craig David’s ‘7 Days’ with Justin Timberlake’s ‘Senorita’. The middle bit is a bit much for me, but the rest is just spot on! Give it a listen.

P.P.S.

I’m sorry not sorry that the last song is on there. It’s bloody catchy and totally brings out my ‘badass girl’ vibes ready to tackle anything coming my way!
