Trying to find sustainable shoes that are versatile can be a challenge. It’s great to have shoes solely (pun intended) dedicated to one type of outfit or occasion, but finding a shoe that can multi-task and make that dollar stretch even further is a tricky one. When I found the Everlane Modern Loafer, I knew it would be a win-win in my books. I’m clearly an Everlane groupie, but not all sustainable brands can kill it with both clothing and shoes. Get yourself a brand that can do both (<– so basic).
I paired these modern loafers with a tartan Brooks Brothers dress that I got years ago. My mum was born in Scotland and took us there all the time when we lived in England. It feels more like home to me than England does. If you’ve never been, get your butt there ASAP. I’ve been saying for years now that I hope to retire in Scotland, but I’m feeling more and more spoiled with California’s gorgeous year-round weather, so I might need to reconsider that statement. Maybe I’ll just settle with a holiday home there? One can dream.
Did I mention the dress has pockets?
I’m typically a size (wait for it…) 10 (yup!) in women’s shoes, but had to order a half size up in these loafers in order for them to fit comfortably. They do suggest this on their website, so that was definitely helpful!
These loafers can be easily worn casually, to the office, out for drinks with the girls, or to a client meeting. Perfectly versatile.

Whilst I’m not a fan of all Everlane shoes (shocking, I know), these loafers have won my heart over and over and over again (can’t seem to get them out of rotation and I’m not mad about that). Next, I’ve been eyeing out these heels and these boots for a while now.
