I visit Tampa what feels like almost every other month as my company’s headquarters are located there. Each time I visit, I figure out a way to pop over to my favourite restaurant, Oxford Exchange. This past trip I flew in a day early to enjoy a long visit to arguably one of the best spots in Tampa Bay.
You enter Oxford Exchange via a book store to your left and a Warby Parker store to your right. But we’ll come back to those in a tick. We were rushing to catch our reservation and saved shopping until after our breakfast.
Oxford Exchange consists of about 5 or 6 rooms that all flow together – each having its own unique look and feel while being inviting all the same.
My favourite place to eat is outside in the lanai area. Its gorgeous sunlight brings in so much natural light and makes the place incredibly welcoming to enjoy brunch “outside” without having to deal with the Florida humidity.
Their menu is wonderfully diverse – particularly for brunch. You can also get almost any tea you desire!
This day, however, I stuck with bubbly! Mimosa are my weakness.
Cappuccino (with almond milk) and french toast covered in berries were next. Absolutely scrumptious!
After brunch, we made our way into the gift shop via one of the tea stands. I told you they had every flavour of tea you could imagine!
It’s easy to get lost in the mounds of recipe books and trinkets in the gift store. Plus, they’re constantly updating so you never know what you’re going to find when you pop in.
One of my favourite corners is the staircase that leads up to a co-working space and meeting rooms.
I was about to say my other favourite room (clearly I love this whole joint!) is the bathroom. Strange to say, I know, but look at this entrance way! You know a place is truly cool, if you’d like to hang out in the bathroom for a while!
I’ve bought many books from this little bookstore. This is on the lefthand side when you walk in the front door. They carry books old and new, best sellers, and classics.
Next we went to Warby Parker (on the opposite side) to do some window shopping. I, naturally, gravitated towards the tortoise shell frames. It’s not like my previous five pairs were tortoise shell or anything…

So long, Oxford Exchange! Until next time I’m in Tampa. I’ll be back!
