If I could live in a comfy pair of jeans and baggy t-shirt for the rest of my days, I’d be one happy girl. Add some lush Birkenstocks and I’m in heaven! Seriously, my feet have never felt happier in a pair of Birks. I don’t care what names I get called. Don’t knock ’em till you try ’em!
You know who has an endless supply of pre-loved tees and jeans? Practically any thrift shop. These came from Wasteland on Melrose in LA and I talked about my entire shopping experience here if you fancy checking it out. Your shirt has holes in it though, Samantha?! But have you felt how soft it is? Just top-notch quality. My Cabana t-shirt has an identical feel to it. Maybe it has something to do with the wear and tear (and love) over the years.
The holes and rips just give it a casual and relaxed feel – perfect for LA-vibes. Plus, who doesn’t mind turning a few heads even for different reasons? *this gal*
My love for thrifting started in high school. I visited the same local shop around the corner from my house where I would find the most unique pieces with each visit. These bracelets are a purchase from that store. I’ve layered them on my wrist for years! Always adding and subtracting depending on my mood and outfit.
My clutch is a vegan leather bag I got from a boutique where I used to live in the mountains here in California. I use it all. the. time. Night and day. There is still plenty of use left in it!
There’s just something about a nice tight-fitting pair of Levis that give your bum a little extra anti-gravity help (if you know what I mean). Roll the cuffs, or leave them down, and they go well with practically all shoes. Birkenstocks, however, can’t be beaten for a perfectly casual outfit. These Arizona’s are “platformed” (not that I need the extra height!) and from Birkenstock’s Soft Footbed Collection giving extra padding and support – making them feel like slippers! If I could get away with wearing them every day I absolutely would.

I’m excited to explore some more thrift shops here in LA – particularly some hole-in-the-wall joints! Any recommendations are welcome and would be greatly appreciated!
