I know I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: this California winter is incredibly unpredictable. I’m breaking out my favourite fall/winter clothes one day and the next I’m throwing layers off because it’s 78 degrees. Thankfully, I’ve been able to wear this faux fur coat a few times this winter already and wanted to share with you how I typically style it.
Note: this was a Gap purchase years ago, but there are some ethical version out there that I’ve linked below. This coat will easily be worn over 30 times because I’m just so in love with it!
I typically love pairing the vest with a cream coloured top underneath and have traditionally worn my hair in a big top knot with bold earrings as the main accessory, but I switched it up a tad and let my long locks (majorly in need of a cut and colour – holding out for two more weeks!) down for the day.
Wearing a big poofy faux fur vest like this just flatters all other limbs – ha! I totally feel slim, chic, and comfy wearing this coat. Tossing it on over a feminine top with a pair of jeans is an easy way to zhush up any outfit! In fact, I practically wore this exact same outfit a few months ago and have simply added this coat and changed it up easily! It’s also perfectly insulating yet not too hot for those fickle California warmer days.

If I had knee-high brown boots, I’d probably wear this with dark skinny jeans, those boots, and throw my hair up in a top knot for another look. Truly, though, there are so many different styles that you can do with this vest.

Keeping this vest towards the front of my wardrobe to wear this winter as often as possible. I’ll actually be heading to Mammoth tomorrow for a ski trip, so it’ll definitely make its way into my suitcase!
