Pastel Winter Style
December 7, 2017
It’s finally cold enough (read: below 60 degrees) here in Los Angeles, which means these winter coats are definitely in full swing now! I’ve showed you my go-to Preppy look here and my so-called Grunge look here and now I want to show you my girlier winter outfit that involves more pastel colours.
I also got this pastel pink peacoat (seen during my recent San Fransisco trip) from J Crew. Every winter it gets pulled out the back of my closet and worn as often as possible. Los Angeles (and probably most of the country) has been ridiculously warm this winter. It only really started dropping temperatures the first week of December here which hasn’t given me many opportunities to really dig deep in my winter wardrobe.
Having a pastel option to incorporate into the usual dark colours of winter helps lift my spirit and keeps me feeling fresh and not too glum with cold days.
I typically pair this with a lovely cream, wool knit sweater and the one I’m wearing here was a gift from my future brother-in-law from three Christmases ago. He’s the little fashionista in the family! I believe he got it from a shop in Spain so no helping you replicate this look perfectly. I’ll include a few links to some ethical alternatives, however.
My jeans are an old Abercrombie & Fitch version from college if you can believe that! They aren’t the most flattering, and probably need tailored, but I try squeeze uses out of them nonetheless.

I hope you enjoyed reading my little three-part winter series of my go-to coats. Let’s hope that come next winter I’ll have a more ethically-driven closet whilst still repeating all of these outfits for many moons to come!
