Pyne & Smith Linen Dress
March 19, 2019
As most of you are aware, my love for linen started last year when I discovered Linenfox and posted this wonderful wrap dress of theirs. Since then, I’ve explore as many linen clothing options as possible.
I stumbled across Pyne & Smith sometime last year and had my eye on one of their whimsical dresses for a good 6 months. My wonderful mum got me a gift card to Pyne & Smith and so I snagged this beautiful black linen dress and popped it on the weekend it arrived!
Excusing the ghostly white legs (summer has finally arrived in LA so I’ll hopefully remedy this soon), you couldn’t ask for a more Pride & Prejudice-esque look! I already have fantasies of wearing this in Provence as I roam the local farmers markets each weekend.
It ties in the back so you can adjust it to your liking and the length of the dress hits just below the knees for me (I’m 5’10”) which is perfect in my opinion! Pyne & Smith do have multiple length options, however: mini, midi, and long so you can get what you’re most in love with!
The linen is much thinner than the Linenfox dress I own but still feels incredibly well-made. Which makes me think that I can still wear this black dress even on a hot summer’s day (especially since linen is so wonderfully forgiving in all temperatures).
Did I mention it has pockets?! Winner winner chicken dinner.
So, find yourself a swing, pop on your new Pyne & Smith dress and let yourself feel like a French farm girl all whilst helping the planet and looking oh so whimsical!
I’m so happy that I’ve been able to support a small, local brand like Pyne & Smith (fun fact: Joanna, the owner, is also from the UK!). I’d definitely encourage you to go see all of Joanna’s pieces as she recently dropped a new spring collection that includes linen overalls of dreams!
